President Joko Widodo officially inaugurated new officials in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet on Monday, August 19, 2024. Among the appointments were Rosan Perkasa Roeslani as the Minister of Investment/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) and Hasan Nasbi as the Head of the Presidential Communication Office. The ceremony took place at the State Palace in Jakarta as part of the cabinet refreshment with the 2019-2024 term coming to a close.
Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, a well-known businessman and diplomat, now leads investment and capital coordination in Indonesia. With his expertise, he is tasked with boosting domestic investment, supporting economic growth, and creating job opportunities. His appointment was made through Presidential Decree Number 92/P of 2024.
On the other hand, Hasan Nasbi was appointed as the Head of the Presidential Communication Office under Presidential Decree Number 93/P of 2024. In his role, Hasan will be responsible for conveying government policies to the public and maintaining communication between the government and the community.
These appointments highlight President Jokowi’s dedication to assembling a capable team with relevant experience. During the inauguration, President Jokowi administered the oath of office to Rosan and Hasan, emphasizing the importance of integrity, responsibility, and commitment in their roles.
The event was attended by Vice President Ma’ruf Amin, as well as coordinating ministers like Hadi Tjahjanto and Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan. Guests also offered their congratulations to the newly appointed officials.
