Swarnaloka presented a new stage for digital art through VOID VISION 2025, an interactive art exhibition that offers immersive experiences based on technology and visual in the city of Malang. Organized by Swarnaloka and initiated by Story of Karana, the event successfully took place from May 23 to 25, 2025 at Latar Ijen, Malang. VOID VISION 2025 did not have a specific theme, but instead provided a creative space for artists exploring the combination of technology and art, also known as new media art.
The event showcased interactive digital art exhibitions, light installations, and awe-inspiring audio-visual performances. One of the committee members of void vision, Rizky Adha Dharmawan, stated that this was Swarnaloka’s first step in introducing new media art to a wider audience. The goal was to bridge young artists, especially in Malang, with the emerging digital art scene.
With Malang’s background filled with higher education institutions, VOID VISION 2025 also served as an ideal introduction space for students and the younger generation to learn about the digital art industry firsthand. The enthusiasm from visitors was evident, with all reservation slots fully booked from the opening day.
The collaboration between Story of Karana and artist Cyndhy Rukmana was one of the main attractions of the exhibition. Notable highlights included the Light Art Installation presenting light art exploration in a special space, and the AV Performance combining electronic music, visual effects, and projection mapping that stimulated all senses.
Interestingly, the entire series of events at VOID VISION 2025 could be enjoyed for free by the public. With interactive spaces filled with spectacular visual elements, the event became a favorite spot for visitors to capture moments on social media. The success of this year’s event not only established an alternative art platform but also marked the beginning of digital art ecosystem development in Indonesia.*
