Iksan and Iriane, known as the IKLAS pair, have been in office as the Bupati and Vice Bupati of Morowali for 100 days since their simultaneous inauguration by President Prabowo Subianto. They have started fulfilling their political promises made during the campaign period in various sectors ranging from health, infrastructure to the welfare of the people.
In the health sector, initiatives such as the Health Plus Program and the “Pick Up the Sick, Return Healthy” service have been implemented. This service provides free transportation for residents to health facilities across all districts. Additionally, ambulance fleets have been increased, especially in island regions, to ensure equal access to healthcare services for coastal communities. The renovation of the RSUD Bungku Tengah facility has also been carried out to enhance its quality and representation.
Their efforts in the health sector have garnered appreciation from the former Morowali Regent and current Central Sulawesi Governor, Anwar Hafid, who praised their focus on essential healthcare services. Moreover, in terms of infrastructure, particularly electricity supply, improvements have been made in two key agricultural districts, Witaponda and Bumi Raya, with the normalization of power supply in other areas like Bungku Tengah, Bahodopi, Menui, and Sombori Islands.
The implementation of the IKLAS Champion Card program, providing monthly assistance of Rp 700,000 for basic necessities like food, gas, and cooking oil, reflects their commitment to supporting farmers and fishermen. They have also prioritized the welfare of seaweed farmers, adamantly opposing the construction of intake pipes by PT Baoshuo Taman Industry Investment Group (BTIIG) that could harm coastal communities.
Iksan emphasized that their work in the first 100 days is just the beginning, outlining short, medium, and long-term plans to develop Morowali. He expressed his vision to advance Morowali, stating, “All our work is just the beginning. Our programs have short-term, medium-term, and long-term goals. We have a clear vision to elevate Morowali, our beloved region.”
