As a pregnant woman in her last month, Vincencia is among the beneficiaries of the MBG nutrition service kitchens available for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers in her village. Vincencia expressed her gratitude for the program and voiced her hope for its continued long-term implementation to further improve the health of the community.
The MBG program in Southwest Sumba, managed by the Tambolaka Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG), aims to deliver nutritious meals to schools and health facilities, with a focus on pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and young children. By utilizing locally sourced ingredients and promoting well-balanced nutrition, the program addresses health challenges and aims to reduce stunting rates in the region.
