Prabowo Welcomes Brazilian President’s Business Leaders to Indonesia

President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, expressed his excitement about Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s proposal to bring a large group of Brazilian entrepreneurs to Indonesia. During a bilateral meeting at Palácio do Planalto in Brasília, Prabowo warmly welcomed the plan, emphasizing the potential for increased cooperation in trade and investment between the two nations. He acknowledged the common interests and abundant resources shared by Indonesia and Brazil, highlighting the opportunity for tangible collaborations to materialize. Prabowo also commended Brazil’s advancements in agriculture and bioenergy, expressing Indonesia’s eagerness to learn from their experiences. Furthermore, he appreciated Lula’s support for Indonesia’s initiative to send technical teams to study Brazil’s innovations and technologies. Apart from the state visit to Brasília, Prabowo’s visit to Brazil included attending the BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro. President Lula is expected to reciprocate the visit by coming to Indonesia in October, where a special celebration is being planned for his upcoming 80th birthday.
