Referring to past issues with cooperatives during the New Order era, President Prabowo stressed the significance of the new cooperative system being rooted in technology to allow real-time monitoring and auditing of financial flows.
Furthermore, he urged village heads to actively supervise the cooperative chairpersons to ensure the initiative serves the community effectively. President Prabowo used a metaphor to illustrate the power of unity, emphasizing the concept of cooperation and collective strength in the cooperative system. He expressed his belief that the Merah Putih Cooperatives will revitalize Indonesia’s rural economy and decentralize resource distribution.
With the new cooperative system in place, President Prabowo aims to redirect funds from cities to provinces and villages, emphasizing the importance of empowering regencies, districts, and villages in driving economic growth.
