President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, expressed his satisfaction with the government’s efforts in ensuring food security during a Plenary Cabinet Session at the State Palace. He mentioned that the government’s strategy has been successful in building the largest food reserves in the country’s history. Prabowo thanked all ministries and government agencies for their collaboration in securing the nation’s food supply, emphasizing the importance of teamwork in achieving this milestone.
The President highlighted the importance of swift government actions, especially during the transition period between his administration and that of the previous President, Joko Widodo, in maintaining stable food production. He asserted that food production is a fundamental pillar of national sovereignty, stating that a nation cannot truly be independent if it relies on others for its food supply.
Prabowo praised the government’s efforts in ensuring food security, declaring that a sovereign country must have the ability to feed itself to maintain its independence. He concluded by emphasizing the strategic importance of food production in safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty.
