President Prabowo Subianto has recently appointed General Tandyo Budi as the Deputy Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and also introduced six new Regional Military Command (Kodam) commanders, 20 brigade commanders, and 100 Territorial Development Battalions. During the ceremony, Prabowo awarded the Bintang Sakti Medal of Honor to soldiers recognized for their exceptional integrity. He emphasized the importance of commanders leading from the front and being the first line of protection for their soldiers in dangerous situations. Prabowo highlighted the significance of caring for and training troops, urging military leaders to nurture their subordinates as they would their own children. He concluded with a reminder of the TNI’s identity and mission, emphasizing that the army serves and defends the people and stands ready to sacrifice for them.
