Saimin, an elderly man from Indramayu, West Java, was filled with emotion and pride as he witnessed the lowering of Indonesia’s national flag, the Sang Saka Merah Putih, at Merdeka Palace during the country’s 80th Independence Day celebration. His decision to attend the ceremony in person, rather than watching it on TV as he usually does, was met with overwhelming joy.
In admiration of President Prabowo Subianto, Saimin described him as a leader who is close to the people and cares for those in need. He highlighted the president’s dedication and hard work, emphasizing how Prabowo often visits communities nationwide and responds promptly to various issues.
Expressing his hope for unity on this Independence Day, Saimin emphasized the importance of Indonesians coming together and putting an end to internal conflicts. He urged for solidarity and maturity as a country that has been independent for 80 years.
