Independence Day celebration in Indonesia took on a special significance under President Prabowo Subianto this year. To commemorate the 80th anniversary, the State Palace invited 60 small business vendors to provide food and drinks to guests, majority of whom were members of the public. This initiative brought joy to vendors like Wahyu and the es doger vendor, who expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to showcase their products at such a prestigious event.
The presence of the MSMEs at key locations within the Palace, such as the Central Courtyard and the Plaza Fountain, added a unique touch to the celebration. Visitors were thrilled to have access to areas typically inaccessible to the public, such as the Central Courtyard. The Presidential Security Forces were also commended for their efforts in ensuring the safety and comfort of all attendees.
This year’s Independence Day celebration not only highlighted the festive spirit of the occasion but also symbolized a new era of openness at the State Palace. President Prabowo’s inclusive approach brought together officials, citizens, and small vendors in a shared space of unity. Overall, the event was a testament to the President’s commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.
