The Garuda Merah Putih-II Task Force successfully completed a humanitarian aid mission in Gaza Strip, Palestine on August 17, 2025. This mission was a collaborative effort involving the Ministry of Defense, Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the National Alms Agency (Baznas). Two Indonesian Air Force C-130J Super Hercules aircraft took off from King Abdullah II Air Base in Amman, Jordan at 10:37 a.m. local time. Conducting an airdrop of aid supplies over Gaza, they safely returned to the forward operating base by 12:25 p.m. local time.
Colonel Pilot Puguh Yulianto, Commander of the Garuda Merah Putih-II Task Force, reported that the mission ran smoothly without any major obstacles. The aid packages included staple foods, ready-to-eat meals, medical equipment, blankets, and items specifically for children. President Prabowo Subianto initiated this mission, demonstrating Indonesia’s commitment to international humanitarian solidarity.
The successful completion of this mission on Indonesia’s independence anniversary was a moment of national pride, emphasizing the country’s active participation on the global stage and contributions to global peace.
