President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, visited Klaten, Central Java, on July 21, 2025, to inaugurate the Merah Putih Village Cooperative Program. The President’s arrival was met with excitement from residents, teachers, and schoolchildren who eagerly greeted him along the way. Wearing a brown suit and black peci (traditional cap), President Prabowo interacted with the crowd, spreading joy as he waved and handed out shirts to the public.
The official launch ceremony of the Merah Putih Village Cooperative took place in Bentangan Village, Wonosari District. This program, a key component of President Prabowo’s economic agenda, aims to establish over 80,000 cooperatives nationwide by October 28, 2025. These cooperatives are designed to boost rural economies, improve farmers’ trade conditions, and generate employment opportunities, fostering comprehensive development from the grassroots level upwards.
